Store credits, top-ups and withdrawals
How the HKD store-credit wallet works: topping up with bonus gift credits, spending, and withdrawing to FPS.
Last updated: 2026-09-04
Every trade on HiMarket settles in store credits — an HKD balance on your account. You earn them by selling cards, or top up by card or Alipay. This guide covers the full life cycle: getting credits in, what the two credit types do, and getting money back out.
Topping up
Most buyers never top up manually: if your balance doesn't cover a purchase, checkout collects the shortfall as a quick payment. You can also top up ahead of time from the Store Credits page. Both accept credit card — including Apple Pay and Google Pay — or AlipayHK / Alipay. The minimum charge is HK$100 by card and HK$50 by Alipay.

Top-up bonus: amounts above HK$500 earn gift credits worth 2% of the excess. The HK$1,000 preset includes +HK$10 gift credits; HK$3,000 includes +HK$50.
Store credits vs gift credits
| Store credits | Gift credits | |
|---|---|---|
| Buy cards | Yes | No |
| Pay fees & deposits | Yes (after gift credits) | Yes — used first |
| Withdraw | Sale proceeds only (6% fee) | No |
| How you get them | Selling cards, top-ups | Top-up bonuses, welcome promotion |
Whenever a fee or deposit is charged — the HK$3 + 4% transaction fee, a buylist commitment bond, the withdrawal fee — gift credits are consumed first, protecting your spendable store credits.
Withdrawing
Only sale proceeds can be withdrawn. Credits you top up are for buying cards and paying fees on HiMarket — they cannot be withdrawn. The Store Credits page shows how much of your balance is withdrawable. (Balances held before August 2026, when this policy took effect, count in full as withdrawable.)
- Go to the Store Credits page and request a withdrawal (minimum HK$50, up to your withdrawable balance).
- Choose FPS as the payout method (PayMe remains available until 30 September 2026).
- We confirm the details with you on WhatsApp and pay out within 1–3 business days.
The withdrawal fee is 6% of the withdrawal amount, charged gift-credits-first. That is also why keeping proceeds as store credits is the better deal if you plan to buy more cards — credit is effectively worth ~6% more than cash, and buylist offers display both figures.
Where refunds go
If an order is cancelled or refunded, whatever you paid by credit card goes back to the card first; the rest — including anything paid via AlipayHK / Alipay — returns as store credits. Details: Refunds & disputes.
Common questions
How do I get store credits?
- Sell cards through the sell list system or fulfil buylist offers
- Purchase credits directly by card (minimum HK$100) or AlipayHK / Alipay (minimum HK$50)
Can I withdraw credits I topped up?
No. Topped-up credits are for buying cards and paying fees on HiMarket only — they are not withdrawable. Only credits earned by selling cards form your withdrawable balance, shown on the Store Credits page. Balances held before August 2026 are grandfathered as withdrawable.
Why is there a 6% withdrawal fee?
The fee covers payment processing and keeps in-platform trading cheap: listing is free and the transaction fee is only HK$3 + 4%. If you keep your proceeds as store credits and spend them on cards, you avoid the withdrawal fee entirely — which is why buylist prices show store credit as worth about 6% more than the cash equivalent.
