Credit requirements & inactive listings
Sell listings and buylist items are hidden when your credits cannot cover the potential fees or purchase — top up or lower the price to reactivate.
Why do listings become inactive?
Sell list and buylist items become inactive when you don't have enough credits to cover potential transaction fees or purchases. Inactive items are not publicly visible. The system hides them to make sure every visible listing and offer can actually complete — this prevents scam transactions.
When does a sell listing become inactive?
When you can't cover the HK$3 + 4% transaction fee that would be charged when the card sells. Store credits, gift credits and any enabled auto-charge headroom all count towards it. Example:
- Selling price: HK$1,000 → transaction fee (HK$3 + 4%): HK$43
- You have: HK$20 store + HK$10 gift = HK$30 total
- Result: the listing becomes inactive (need HK$43, have HK$30)
Established sellers get slack: the fees your past sales have generated act as an allowance, so proven sellers can keep listings active even with a low (or zero) balance.
When does a buylist item become inactive?
When you can't fund the full cost of a fulfilment: the offer itself must be covered by store credits (gift credits don't count for the offer), plus the HK$3 + 4% fee on top (gift credits first, then store). Example:
- Your offer: HK$500 — you have HK$200 store + HK$100 gift credits
- Result: the buylist item becomes inactive (the offer needs HK$500 in store credits; you have HK$200)
How do I reactivate an item?
- For sell listings: add more store or gift credits to cover the transaction fee
- For buylist items: add more store credits to cover the offer (plus the fee)
- Alternatively, lower your selling price / offer
Tips
- Keep enough credits to maintain active listings
- Gift credits can help cover transaction fees
